Nestled in the heart of Alexandria, Virginia, our licensed center opens doors to children aged 5 months to 5 years. Our daily hours are 7am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 9am - 4pm on Saturdays.

Our Goal

Our main goal at Rainbow Early Learning Center is to educate a strong, healthy, and successful personality. Our curriculum, Experience Early Learning, is a nationally recognized early learning system that equips educators with a toolbox of hands-on award-winning materials (updated monthly) to bring children a variety of learning experiences through creative expression, play, and open-ended discovery.

Our Classes

Rainbow Center’s daily schedule includes a variety of activities with music and dance classes, math, yoga, English language, storytelling, games and projects, cooking, visual arts and modeling. It is the perfect balance of fun, development and essential skills. Beyond the laughter and play, our curriculum is crafted to instill values such as self-discipline, collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

We are passionate about each child's experience at Rainbow Center. Experience Early Learning curriculum weaves research-based educational practices into meaningful activities and projects. When combined with our nurturing environment, intentional teaching practices, and meaningful relationships, these skills will prepare your child for success in school and in life!

Throughout the day, children enjoy four delicious freshly cooked meals with a wholesome breakfast, a nutritious lunch, and a variety of healthy snacks with fruit, veggies, yogurts, cookies, muffins, and more.

All daily meals and activities are included in the monthly tuition.

7:00am-8:30am — Arrival, Free Play

8:30am-9:30am — Morning Gymnastics, Preparation for Breakfast

9:00am-9:30am — Breakfast

9:30am-10:00am — Interactive Play

10:00am-10:15am — Fruit Time

10:15am-11:00am — Lesson

11:00am-11:45am — Outdoor Activities, Free Play

11:45am-12:00pm — Hand Washing, Restroom

12:00pm-12:30pm — Lunch

12:30pm-1:00pm — Preparation for Nap, Story Time

1:00pm-3:00pm — Nap, Quite Time

3:00pm-3:30pm — Wake Up, Dress Up, Wash Up, Free Play

3:30pm-4:00pm — Snack

4:00pm-5:00pm — Outdoor Activities, Interactive Play

5:00pm-6:00pm — Interactive Play, Departure
